Nowadays, manufacturing companies face an increasing number of challenges that can cause unpredictable market changes. These are derived from a fiercely competitive market. create unforeseen variations and uncertainties, including new regional requirements or regulations, technologies materials, segments, demand for product features, etc. To cope with the above, must reinvent themselves design systems seek to produce quality products while responding changes faced. capabilities encompassed in Reconfigurable Manufacturing Systems (RMS), capable dealing uncertainties quickly economically. The availability RMS is crucial factor establishing production capacity system considers all events could interrupt planned production. impact influenced by configuration systems, resources used. This paper presents case study which simulation-based multi-objective optimization (SMO) method used find machines’ optimal task allocation assignment workstations under different scenarios availability.
